[REQ]complex engine start - dtea - 17.12.2009
is it possible to do complex engine start in this sim?
choose fuel pomp,turn the anti-ice on,change magnet to M1+2,
and push the starter...
i think it'll make this sim more interesting

Already did that mod, pump, battery, generator, separate fuel tanks with selector etc....but it requires changes in so many class files that this mod can support only specific modified aircrafts...stock planes don't work with it...

You should take a look at the mod AOC made by a french squad - II/JG51.

Is that still the case with the mod your talking about?
Yes,it can't be mixed with Mod AOC (that's the advancede engine mod).I did it with the 190A3 also,it has more stuff than the kitty's,ant that plane reqiures it's own motor files.Without them plane won't load. This mod I've mentioned is still unreleased and it adds even more stuff...so far the only two planes that work with that mod are Ta152H0 and Josse's F51..

I have mixed feelings about mods like this.
Sure it adds to the immersion, but in a combat situation, these tasks were usually done by the ground crew. At least in AO's that required a certain number of aircraft on "alert 5" .. Obviously there's some "tips 'n tricks" that enables you to scramble pretty quickly when needed, without "killing" your engine.
