Default skins in 4.1 - Bearcat - 19.12.2009
I just installed 4.1... I noticed that there is no 3do folder for the default skins.. does this mean that i will have to install the skinmod and do it the old fashioned way...? I don't mind that .. but I just want to know if there is a better way.... I like making my mustangs & Jugs default Redtail ac...

I was getting CTDS at first... LOL... then I realized I had to remove that STD file from my MODS folder... :? :oops:
Not bad you guys.... I actually did notice the difference between the 50s in my UP install and this one... The 4.1 install is more like 1.2 in that respect.. which of course is to be expected.. I had noticed that there was a difference in 1.8.. but I really didn't realize how pronounced it was until I installed 4.1.. I have a standard SM in the desert that I made with MM (P-40Es vs 202s) and it was very challenging in the stock sim... it got a bit better with 1.2 but when I installed UP it became almost impossible to complete without some damage... I haven' done detailed tests yet to see just how different it is.. but I did notice that I no longer have to unload the whole 9 into a 109 to take him down anymore. I think I'll be sticking with HFX...

Yes I noticed the 50's seem better in this History mod; Also How do I get my skins back in I'm missing all my skins..

I just copied my entire paint schemes folder... The thing that got me was that I always thought the UI 1.2 Mustangs were more inline with the historic reports of the Mustang... and thre 50s as well.... but with the UP they seemed less effective.. even less effective than the stock 50s... I might be wrong of course.. and I wouldn't want to spread any false info... it is just my opinion.
