I would like to remember, who designed the material Fugure that was credited to me in the beginning of this post was Avro, a big thank you to you Avro for starting this whole discussion that has brought major improvements with a leading specialist in 3D: JapanCat.

PS: the plane in big photo is a BF109G-14.

本当にありがとうございます Big Grin

(That quickly

Thank you very much)

As my default chosen plane is the 109,I couldn't be more delighted with these improvements! Many thanks for the wonderful Christmas present! Confusedhock:
I wonder if some of these cosmetic changes will apply to other "F" series 109's and perhaps at a later time to the "Gustav' series as well- they could really use this kind of update.

Am using HFSX 4.1 install- I put this Mod into Mods folder & started game....F2 ( nor any other 109 I quickly checked...)has none of the apparent changes..still nice but no new framing, wheels .prop etc...so diappointed...what to do ?

Hmm.. Me either... I'm on UP2.0 which includes 4.1 I have Anto and Wustenfuchs packs too. the mods look like they apply just to the F-2, but even then, same wheels and props?

**EDIT*** Working now... Not sure what I did though. I was tweaking my fresh UP2.0 install, added some mods, deleted some stuff my mods overrode anyway, and its working now. Hmm.

Outstanding job so far, but...

Now that the fuselage is all rounded these wingroots look a bit weird dont you thinks so too?

Finally someone who thought about redoing this much used and loved plane, can't believe for how long it has been ignored!!! Bring the polycount up! Give us an even smoother spinner!! :-) Big Grin

Elephant: That's a texturing issue.

JapanCat: Thank you for your work. I am updating my Ultimate 109 pack as we speak, do you mind if I include some of your 3D parts? Where possible I'll add these parts to other 109 models

- elephant - 22.12.2009

Well Anto...I dont think it's a texturing issue at all...
It's how the game interprets what part has to be in Shadow and what in Light.
This (abnormality) was there for ever and was partialy camuflaged by "smart" texturing.
I knew this tricky part of the 109 when making skins for it...but I think now is even more pronounced, or not?
If the wing root was polygon "smoothened"?
May be a different skin mapping would have solved the problem?
I don't know ...I'm not at all an expert on this; just asking... :-?
