HSFX 4.1 - GREAT! Except one little thing... - Squiffy - 20.12.2009

First off, I have to say that I could not get 4.09m, UI 1.2, UP 1.8, or HSFX 4.0 to run with out stutters on my new i7-powered machine.

HSFX 4.1 works perfectly! Technically, I have no I idea why. Magic. But I love it! Thanks to all who put it together.



BUT there is a small issue I noticed. When a plane crashes onto land, explodes on the ground, etc, the impact site (when in view) causes a huge drop in frame rate, especially impact sites for 4-engined bombers. Turns the game into a slide show. It's probably related to the smoke effects, but I tried all available effects (EFFECTS LOW and EFFECTS HIGH and none selected) but the problem persists. Anybody else noticing that? Is there any way to disable all mod effects to use default effects?

We will be looking at why the droppsnoot has issues. As for the bombardiers position, once in it was a one way trip until you got home.

If you go there you are required to join and create an account. Why not just put information here? People get sick and tired of creating account after account and trying to remember scores of passwords. Since this is all a joint effort then the information should be disseminated on all sites involved.
