I downloaded UI 1.2 and installed it and my game worked fine. I then installed ship2 mod, hangar mod, and infantry mods. still, it worked great. Later I tried installing uranium effects mod but decided not to go thru with it so i restored my previous files --- I had just begun to modify the .ini files and then decided it was too risky and I didn't wanna mess it up. So I just deleted the edited .ini files and pasted my original ones in their place. I had just backed-them up moments before attempting the installation. ALL i did was start to modify the .ini files, thought nah... and then pasted the previous ones right back in...

The next time I ran the game, I had the mouse problem. The common one where your cursor is frozen and you can't move it. So after checking the troubleshooting forum , I found out the problem can be fixed by opening the config.ini file and changing "mouseUse=1" to "mouseUse=2"... When I opened my config file I found it already set to "mouseUse=2" ??? So i thought what the heck and changed it to "mouseUse=1". The next time I opened the game, I could control the mouse but it was the MS Windows style cursor??? BUT i couldn't control the keyboard now??? (The keyboard freezes with "mouseUse=1" --- The mouse freezes with "mouseUse=2")

The next thing I did, I went BACK into config.ini and change "mouseUse=1" BACK to "mouseUse=2" and try it again... Everthing Works!!! keyboard AND mouse !!??

Now EVERYTIME I want to play the game I've gotta go to the config.ini, change it to "mouseUse=1", open the game and let it load, close back out of the game, change the config.ini back to mouseUse=2 and THEN load the game.

That is the only way I can control both my mouse and my keyboard???

The number of crashes have went up significantly as well??

Any suggestions here? What the heck could it be?

You're problems are a side effect of installing mods, I believe they are not fixable. Try pressing the windows key when you're cursor is frozen. That should bring you back to your computer's main menu. Then get back into you're game and everything should be fine. I'm afraid you'll have to live with the high number of crashes. Try not to click anything after you've clicked the IL2 Sturmovik icon.

Edit: Ever since I've started using HSFX I not had a single crash. My game also loads significantly faster than it did with UI as well.
