4.09 PROBLEM WITH LOADING - CATHEAD - 26.12.2009

Hi all,
I am wanting to patch up to 4.09m. i have installed a clean copy from the 1946 DVD and patched to 4.08. When I install 4.09 it seems to install fine without any errors. When I try to load the game though the splash screen has changed to Russian and it crashes back to the desktop without loading fully. It is definately the 4.09 English patch aswell. Any ideas would be very welcome. Cheers in advance.

P.S I am using Vista 32-bit if that is a problem

It may be that Vista is interfering with the update. Try copy or move the entire game folder out of Program Files and to the root of your hard drive.

I had the same prob...i heard someone say that you first must install 4.08 without any mods and only then install eng ver of 4.09...ill try it myself now

try running the icon in windows xp compatabilty mode. that just fixed it for me.
