Realtek HD Audio Sound Card problem [Windows XP] - Fryslanboy - 28.12.2009
Hello everyone...
I managed to solve my previous problem: viewtopic.php?t=23852
The exact reason was: The windows bootfiles were corrupted :???:
BUT..Now, there is a soundcard problem...
When I play music with WMP, the sound is good(except, my subwoofer isn't working)
When I start a game like COD6, I do not have sounds, only when I raise the volume to max, I hear a little bit of shooting on the background, and a lot of rushing sounds :???:
I think it's rather strange
-------------------------------------------------
My system is Windows XP 32bit, with SP2
My sounds system is a Logitec X540
My sound card is a Realtek HD Audio

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I have Realtek sound too. Some times I have problems
with mic and sound. What you might have to do, is
go Realtek sound manager, you can find it on the
task bar. Open the Realtek sound manager and go
into your settings and check everything out. I have
to do that some times and check every thing out
one by one. I usually get every thing working again.
So I suggest to go into the sound manager and
check out your Realtek settings.

There's a Windows update for Realtek that should fix most of your problems.
Check back later and I'll post a link. Have to find my thumb drive that has the file.

I have that sound card or one like it. Yes I did the update and ALL stopped working.
One night it would work and hour later it would stop.
The only way I fix it was to Delete all the drivers and INSTALL
the drivers that came on the disk that came with it.They may be OLD
but they work.
I still dont understand why ?????
