To Blur or not to blur? - Thermikus - 30.12.2009
Hello,
Which one's better?
or with the blureffect applied:
S!

I say latter, but make the effect a bit less "radical" in the upper left and lower right corner to get the last plane to show propperly as well
Awesome screenie and lovely skins!

I'd say blur more , edges are too hard - try motion blur + gaussian blur on a duplicate layer then use eraser tool at around 30% opacity to bring back detail from original sharp layer and give a "depth of field" effect. Adjust layer transparency and merge .
Great pic.

1st 1 imo,lovely pic.

The first image is very good, second one you used too much "Motion-Blur" IMHO.
Nice formation of classics.
Try this photoshop trick... Duplicate teh layer image. On teh top layer do a Gaussian blur of 4,0.
Now make this same layer "Lighten" or if you which "Overlayed" on your Layers palette.
You will get a nice visual surprise
