FW-190 D-9 "Chrome" - WIP skin test-flight - max_thehitman - 30.12.2009
A soon-to-be-released new skin for the IL-2 game...
... an FW-190 D-9 "Chrome" (why not? - There are chrome P-51 Mustangs, why not FW-190

WOW pal i just want that
, i am working on "chrome" (more like polished aluminium) skins for some planes too, like the panther, "cougar", "F-84F", CANT and the a few others.

I would love to see those skins of yours Ra
- Alemart_el_Redentor - 30.12.2009
YEAH!
, i think shiny metal planes are the best looking, i would love to see some "unmarked generic" skins for the US fighters and bombers, because except a few of them, all have at least some kind of US marking on them, and that ruins the battles i made sometimes :S

Bare metal and "shiny" skins are great. I am making a lot of them for my personal alternate history campaign (no Nazis and Russia invading E. Europe). I needed late-model 109's and 190's in polished aluminum. I am working on the 109 but it is a difficult plane to represent in bare metal. If you have any advice on how to make the lines and rivets look better, I'm all ears! Great work, BTW.
