F6F FAA skins - Tomthetom - 30.12.2009

I Recently did a RN Pilot Career and I Noticed that The Hellcats have no British Default skin (just a blue backround) can someone please make a default RAF/RN/RAAF skin for the Hellcat?

Fastest way is to probably do it via quick mission builder, go to the aircraft, tick the box next to it, select your skin and as far as i know it will stay that way, even tho you 'set' a different skin in full mission builder.

You need the skin mod (not part of hsfx) where you can change the default skin. Once this is done, select the skin you want to make default while in the QMB. Click fly and after it loads quit. Go into the paintshemes folder then then the cache folder and find the folder for the F6F-3 or the F6F-5 whichever you just used in the QMB. There are four files in that folder. Copy them and paste them into the folder of the F6F-3 (Multi1) or F6F-5 (Multi1) within the skin mod floder. Inside each of these folders you should have (create it if missing) a folder for summer, winter, desert. Place the four files in the appropriate folder Pacific skins would use desert. Your could put skins used in the North Sea in the winter folder and you could put skins used for the Mediterranean in the summer folder. You should now have three skins for the Royal Navy Hellcats i's and or II's and what ever the map camouflage is set at the corresponding skin will be selected when the map loads.

You can do the same thing with the F5F-3(usa) or F6F-5(usa) folders for different USN or USMC default skins.
