Il2 and OpenGL - Kohler - 02.01.2010

Okay,so. I bought an AMD Phenom X2 550 Dual core processor and Ati HD3850 graphics card. After succesful installation of drivers and il2. I seem to have a little problem.
Game runs perfectly on DirectX but when i enable it on OpenGL the fps is like 5. I would like to set the landscape detail to perfect but not possible in DirectX. So help me get my OpenGL working.

It isn't matter of setting, it's the videocard. ATI doesn't handle Open GL in full; in order to enable alle IL2 features, I'm afraid you would need to get a Nvidia one.

I use ATI radion4880 whit succes whit full settings(open GL),you just need to install the older drivers :http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/8-9/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx?〈=English

I have been running ATI and Il2 for years without problems, Allways in perfect mode, make sure you run il2 setup select video then custom set the texture compression in the drop down box to SCT3, I am running on the new 9.12 drivers with out any frame loss. Also remember any time you run the setup you will need to reset your conf ini to your preferred screen resolution as setup always resets it to 640x480 at least for me. Hopes this helps.

For some reason when i run il2, my CPU rises to 50% and stays there.. hmm.
