Is there an Me-262 night-fighter? - max_thehitman - 05.01.2010
Sorry for the silly question guys, but is there a Luftwaffe Me-262 Two-seater night-fighter in the works?
I was just looking at all the new and old night-fighters we have in teh game and was wondering if
someone was creating a Modded version of this Me-262 ? (the 262B-1a/U1 night fighter)

Hi'
Sorry I don't think so , yet

PS some Nightfighting was done with the single-seat on clear nights (Mosquito hunting)

LW used 4 - 6x Me-262B-1/U-1 in night figter action during 1945

That is enough for me to support a request topic :-D

If my sources are correct, there was a total of 15 such conversions produced, but as you say only a handful actually saw combat.

A dozen, at most, got operational before the end of the war... By the way, I fully support the Me 262B-1a/U1. Some other variants that would be nice, but less necessary, would be the Me 262A-1a/U5, Me 262A-2a/U2, and the Me 262C-1a.

I know this loadout isn`t historical, but imagine a two seater Me262 with X4 rockets under the nose (bombpylons)
