the 'old' P-40F and L drop tank config:
i.e. note how the tank is seemingly low and apparently only supported by thin air.
but the shop fitted both the F's and the L's with 'new' or rather 'corrected' ones...:
and so now they're supported by actual pylons and looking much better.
if you like them and want to use them like that, you can get them from my site...

there's two files to replace and the ReadMe contains adjustments to the weapons_ru.properties to show the new loadout. sadly, the new loadout had to drop the 1000 pound bomb from the menue, but i'm working to re-add it...if it's possible. (don't know yet!)
the more i fly these two new Merlin Hawks the better i like them. ALL credit for those fine planes (again) goes to Karaya and his crew. wonderful job. and many thanks for them!
here's one more shot of the tanks with the pylons:
S!
PS, the planes in these pics have the 'converted' to stock hier.him files that i did earlier so they won't look like the 'original' Bee edited versions available from the SAS download site. the download link (if you want it) for my hier files are in the 'other' Merlin Hawk thread.

your tanks on the NEW P-40F and L already had pylons?
hock:

did you fix them already? for as they download (the planes) from the SAS link they do NOT have pylons for the drop tanks...or at least my version (nor anybody else's i know) did.
anyway, if other's don't have the pylons but they'd like to, they're welcome to use my fix... i think it looks much better to have the tanks supported by the pylons than just hanging in thin, empty air. but that's my opinion only. naturally others may not feel that way, or may have their own ideas on a fix. and that's the way it oughta be, hey?
salute!
