depends on area, pacific atoll, atlantic, river, there are much more areas with have water, and all need their appropriate color

#4 looks like the water around Okinawa based on my time there in 2003 and 2006.
#17-19 looks like the water around the Phillipines and Subic during the same time period. Nasty water.
Generally, shallow "island" water is the emerald blue color while the open ocean color is darker. If your near a city or built up area, there is lots of garbage and pollution in the water which makes its nasty looking, ala #18-19.
