Having trouble with carrier catapult Mod CTD? - Dietz - 21.01.2010

This may help..I have a fresh sort of HSFX4.1 install in which everything has worked BUT the Carrier catapult.I've tried all the versions available JSGME & none solved the problem of an almost immediate shutdown of the sim,on carrier missions.I tried to transfer them( folders from JSGME) directly to Mods folder,but with no luck.Next I tried the downloadable Carrier Take_Off 5_3_3 Mod & put it in Mods folder -again - Game stop.Without much hope I renamed its folder ( in Mods folder)with prefix 01_ added to the Carrier Take_Off 5_3_3.I started the game & went to single F-9-F mission & catault worked! Next I tried the Korean campaign that uses Jeep carriers & Corsair ,that I've had on hold until I could figure out this problem & again success,not only with my plane but all the rest on deck as well- they all used the catapult & they all got off the deck....up to this time they had all tried conventional take-offs & all gone into the drink...
I haven't tested this on every other carrier,but it does seem to work on all the usual suspects.
I hope this helps others who have had this nagging problem..its a little pay back for the many who have helped me! :thumbsup:

P.S. Still a glitch or two with british carriers apparently- Catapults work but occasional shutdown as well..sigh
