I believe you, that you are not a DCG beginner, but though I used DCG since a long time, I make rookie mistakes again and again!
Try to uninstall everything again! Dont forget to disable DGen Replacment and auto-generation mode and delete all DCG generated ini. files in the Dgen folder!

I remember reading over at SAS and UP sites that there is an error in the latest DCG version that is causing an incompatibility with UP2.0 & HSFX ... the problem is not you. I don't know if there is a fix or not, but try posting or searching as SAS. At the very least they can guide you to the answers you seek
