Germans in Burma? - FlyinAg05 - 24.01.2010

I have been playing the Burma campaign with the latest HSFX mod version, and what do you know? There are Bf-110's and all sorts of other whacky stuff showing up to fight with the Japanese. I guess the sim is confused as to which pool of aircraft to chose from. The funny thing is, during the debrief, it will have the correct aircraft listed. For example, in one mission I encountered 4 Ki-43's and 2 Bf-110's. In the debrief it was listed as 4 Ki-43's and 2 Niks. WTFO?

well, obviously, since no real Nick is available, someone used the 110 as a "look alike"?

it is not the "game doing things", it is the campaign makers (static an DGEN) Wink

obviously you are playing a Dynamic DGEN campaign where yu get debrief and for PTO the bf-110 got the Nick entry in the used planes list for that campaign.
no magic.

Ah that would make sense. I was thinking the N1K1 was the Nick some reason. That's the George. Duh!

it represents ki-45 and it uses this skin:

download here http://www.freewebs.com/gregboyington/ijaafki4546.htm

you need to put it into Paintschemes/skins/Bf-110C4B

named " $Greg_BF-110_as_Ki-45_5thS_3rdC_Capt_Fujitaro_Ito.bmp"

because of the file Burma43.DB in the dgen folder

Historically, the Germans at one point trained the Chinese, and even gave them equipment.

It's my fault. I changed the files to add some neccessary planes and more variety to those campaigns until proper planes can be added.
Not only Bf-110 as Ki-45, but I-185M82 as Ki-44 in 1944. If not you'll fight only against Ki-43 the whole war, because not Ki-61 nor Ki-84 in Burma. If you don't like, simply delete the planes in the .db files

- FlyinAg05 - 25.01.2010

Thanks for the help guys that makes much more sense! That skin looks nice I'll be sure to d/l it. Is there a skin for the "Japanese" I-185 as well?

- ojcar - 26.01.2010

I think you are playing with the files included in HSFX. It's much better to install the last Enjoyr patch and all the skin packs for Enjoyr. Plenty of Toryu and Shoki skins. HSFX doesn't have the custom skins for those campaigns. Enjoyr patches are the ultimate DGEN experience!!

Look here:

- FlyinAg05 - 26.01.2010

Can EnjoyR be used with HSFX? Or do I need to uninstall the offline HSFX campaigns? I noticed that if I have the offline campaigns uninstalled all my campaign text is in Russian..

- ojcar - 26.01.2010

No problem. The Enjoyr patch includes the Russian language fix. In fact, the offline DGEN campaigns you have in HSFX are some of the Enjoyr patch, but HSFX doesn't add the proper skins. In addition, with Enjoyr you have a ton of campaigns, both modded and unmodded by Boelcke, Vtrelut, Juri_JS, Amagi, Nimits......Some of them are true masterpieces!

Great! I'll d/l the enjoyr and uninstall the HSFX DGEN!!!!!!!
