HSFX Cloud Options - Maven - 24.01.2010
S!
Howdy. I just got HSFX loaded on my machine and I have a couple of basic questions.
Q1:
The HSFX4.1 Readme mentions a way to change the cloud settings using the JSGME switcher. The version that was loaded into my game directory is v2.3.0.128 and I can't seem to find any options related to cloud settings. The clouds are causing a bad stuttering on my new PC and I need to get either my old UI1.2 Flushy or stock clouds back. The Readme mentions the following:
[quote]
In the JGSME switcher Options there are now 3 new Options:-
These options should not affect CRT compatibility so it is your choice.
EFFECTS Low:-
Default IL2 effects and Clouds plus a few new additions required by new aircraft/bombs etc. This is the fastest option and is recommended for people with old PC

If you made your install correct. You will find "STOCK CLOUDS"
in the JSGME that you can make active. then you will have stock clouds.
As for mods other than what comes with HSFX I dont use them.
Some one else will have to answer that for you.

I think I found the error of my way LOL.
I spent so much time downloading the HSFX files, I must have been in a hurry and forgot to unzip the HSFX41 file after the HSFX40
Thanks,
