Gmax Airplanes for IL-2 - liamp51 - 26.01.2010
Hi all,
I found this link for airplanes for the MSFS series. They are Gmax projects and I was wondering if you could make them work in IL-2?
Here's the link!

Thanks!

Fromn what I know (witch is very little) its easyer to strat from scratch than to use a previous 3D model becouse of the Hooks and other il-2 stuff...
Still a couple of very interestings planes there, like the PBY2, or the Martin Mariner, the Breget and a few others...

ok 2 problems wth that
1st you need permision to use it in IL2
2nd its alot more dificult t ad planes to IL2 then FSX and would mean overhauling the whole plane to make it il2 conpatable and most modders say its easier to just make a new plane from scratch
im not saying you cant do it but there is a huge amount of work involved to make these planes IL2 conpatabul

Salute ALL hi ;-)
I know them models and if there was anything there that was any good it would be
Here already, first thing is you need to get the permission to use them for IL2, then
You must know 3D modelling really good because of all the rework you would have
To do just to get them to a point of being IL2 somewhat ready, an FS plane is made
Differently then an IL2 plane, a FS plane is made in layers and you need to be able
To take them layers out for and IL2 plane not an easy job and even more so if the
Layers are already grouped, then you are working on someone else

Oh, Boy! I would give a half kidney for the TIE-Fighter! And I also would like the Rutan Model 151 ARES "Mud-fighter"!
Hmm! But I cannot see Ken Wallis' Little Nellie autogyro from James Bond 007: You Only Live Twice...
