I need some help - Il-2 1946 4.09B to 4.09M update - Alemart_el_Redentor - 28.01.2010
Hello people, i really hope to be posting this in the correct thread, if i am wrong, i am truly sorry :S.....
I would like to ask you if it is possible to upgrade from 4.09bm1 to 4.09m WITHOUT making a "fresh" install?, i have several moded stuff and thing and so, and i want to spare myself all the time to re install and re mod and re set everything (if possible).
Thank you! ^_^

Hi, sorry to say but I don't think you can...and if it is possible, the potential minefield of errors and conflicting files would probably cause more time trying to solve (if they can be solved) than it's worth.

Okay, the best way to do this would be to run your 4.08 patch again an then run the 4.09 Final patch. You may have to run your mods install again, but maybe not. Give it a try and report back.

Hola,
Remember me? How you been, pal?
Please be patient with this, but you know that you need to make at least one copy of
everything that you want to keep. Copy your mods into an easy to find place.
Be cool.
Buena Suerte

If you are going to attempt to update it, make sure you copy and paste your whole current IL2 file somewhere else 1st aye. At least if it all goes pear-shaped you've lost nothing but time.
If (or probably when) you do a re-install of 4.07, patch it up to 4.08, then 4.09 don't forget to make a backup of it on an external hard-drive or decent size USB stick for next time (theres always a next time) you need a fresh install.
Good luck!
