Very nice. But honestly, in my opinion I expected something a bit more (I'm not talking about the vid here BTW). Some pictures with this update wouldn't have gone amiss Wink

+1!!!

I hate to say this, but Oleg's attitude is starting to get on my tits!! Almost 10 years in the business and he still hasn't understood the importance of good PR!! He gotta be a really stubborn b.....

Nah he's playing us. Of course I'll be back next week for more 8)

Thinking to himself:
I wonder if the little guy on the wing will stand inverted when the aircraft is upside down? Seems like there has to be several attitudes of thep pilot pending conditions of the how the bailout is performed.

I really think most guys just bailed out the door head first on the spit. At least that's what I've read.

I'm not sure that this is the animation for the bailout, it could well be just the "I'm out of the plane" animation. You said correctly about the "head first" bailout technique, many pilots were actually sucked out of the cockpit!

You don't understand: That is part of his PR strategy.

Anyway, it's a big announcement.

I see, he must have attended the PR course promoted by the KGB

One method of bailout I've read about several times now is to unplug oxygen tube and RT lead, release sutton harness and open or jettison the canopy.. if you aren't sucked out at this stage due to high speed you have two options, if you still have control surfaces that work you can invert and fall out, (could be dangerous on some aircraft with pronounced tail), or simply then kick the control column forward and you are simply 'bunted' straight out..
As a parachutist myself, I've left an aircraft at over 120mph and its pretty violent.. leaving one at double that speed wouldn't be nice I assure you..
