Installing Mods - PeteHolt - 05.02.2010

Hi All

Ok, forgive me for being dim but, as this will be the first of many Mods to the game (IL2 1946 4.09M) I want to make sure that I get this right:

I would like to initially install the cockpits pack by Freddy for BF109s what do I need to do?

Is it a case of needing some form of installer for the Mods so they will work in conjunction with the game? If so what do I need ? Is there a link ?

How do I Add other aircraft (Thinking about the Spit MK1 to be exact) ? Again is there a specific software for the job? Any links to it if so?

I apologise if all this has been answered elsewhere, but as I say, I am completely new to the Modding of IL2 even though I have had the game for over a year.............. !!

Thanks to all for any help in advance.

N.B: I use Vista 32 bit if that changes anything and have already copied the IL2 1946 folder and called it 1946 Mod is this correct ?

Cheers

Pete Holt

Spit Mk1/2a - Dutch_851 - 10.02.2010

The spit mk1 is included with UI 1.1 I think, and UI 1.2 definitely. I have it myself along with Geoff Wellum / Brian Kingcombe / other skins available from M4T.
You can download it direct from 1st page of forum. Takes an age to download both 1.1 and 1.2 though, but it's worth it.
Good Luck!
