Massive IL2 4.09 Patch Problem!! Please Help! - JackEdwardMorris - 06.02.2010
Hi all,
I installed Il-2 1946, its was all working. I went online and downloaded the 4.09 patch from GameZone. When I opened the file there was no autorun. So I simply extracted it all to my 1946 root folder. I noticed an il2_core.dll file was replaced. I ran Il2, It got to the loading screen, and in the red writing at the bottom left it said v4.09b1m and the loading below it got to 5% but then suddenly, the window just closed, I did it again several times, but the game just closes.
Can anyone shed some light on this Please!!!!!
Thanks,
Jack

You need the official patch 4.09 and your game must be patched up to 4.08 before you install 4.09
G luck

You D/L'd the WRONG VERSION!!!
4.09b1 was the beta version of 4.09.
You need the 4.09m Final.
Go here:
http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/9861059397
Correct install/patch order is as follows:
Install IL-2 1946 4.07
Install 4.08m patch
Install 4.09m patch
Optional.....
Install HSFX 4.0
Install HSFX 4.1
You will then be setup with 4.09m and HSFX.
Mod activation/deactivation will be thru the JSGME mod enabler.

Does this go for mods too or is their a diffrent one?

The Official Patched, 4.08m and 4.09m, are the same whether you run stock unmodded, or modded. The important thing is that the Official patches must be applied FIRST, before you install any mod activator.

so i have mods in now and I want to head over to 4.09 I would just have to reinstall the activator or what? New to modding stuff
