Installing HSFX - OCaviator - 06.02.2010

So I downloaded HSFX, installed it, added it to the mod enabler, but it still runs clean 4.09. Is there something else I have to do?

How did you add it to the mod enabler????
HSFX has its own enabler called JSGME. All the mods are located inside it.
V 4.0 has two parts did they both install correctly??

I already had JSGME, but I had the option to add HSFX history mod. So I did, and when I started IL-2 nothing has changed. And I'm almost positive this installed correctly.

check your game folder to insure you dont have two installs.
HSFX is a littlle funky that way - It may have wrote FORGOTTEN BATTLES.
Check that.

SWEET! Now it works, yeah it was installing to forgotten battles. Thanks for your help!

EDIT: I forgot, do you know how to fix the slight crackling noise while flying? It's whenever it gets somewhat loud.

That is from the non-optinzed sounds. You can reduce it a little bit by using 22k sounds in your audio options, but the only way to really eliminate it is by using the SAS 22k opitmized sounds that completely eliminated all the popping and crackling.
