Problem in FMB - cnemike - 08.02.2010
I have an issue in the FMB when I have an aircraft selected and I click on the "plane" tab in the Object Viewer dialogue box. As soon as I click the tab, the program window edges disappear all except for the upper left portion containing the menu. That portion, along with part of the program title bar, jumps to the right about 50 pixels (1024 x 768) and down about 100 pixels and the mouse pointer disappears. The map image remains on the screen and if I move the mouse around I can get it to appear within the confines of the displaced menu area, The program is usually locked up at this pint requiring me to kill it with the Task Manager. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? I'm running 4.09m and UI 1.2 on an XP SP3 machine. The last thing I did before this happened was installed QMBProPAL and MissionProPAL. Since then I deactivate those mods and reactivated my QMBPlus but still have the problem.

hi cnemike,
did you mean this?
Don't worry, it's a weird situation that many of us experienced, no matter we use UI 1.2. UPK 2.0 or HSFX. The reasons haven't yet been clarified (AFAIK), but the culprits are known with absolute certainty, they are the so-called frankenplanes, aircraft realized by assembling parts taken from existing "official" birds, the CANT Z1007 is an example.
To avoid freezing the programme, any time you use the Object Viewer, the first thing to do is to select the "show" tab on the
That is exactly what I'm talking about - cnemike - 08.02.2010
And thank you very much for your reply. You know, right before I installed QMBProPAL and MissionProPAL I recall wandering over to the SAS site and downloading a franken-skyraider and installing it. Ah, see what a newbie I am! Thank you very much once again. I was about to start comparing .dlls with a hex editor looking for corruption. I will have to wait for a real AH-1 or use the method you suggested. Thanks
