Pacific Fighters Standalone 4.04 and mods - p.jakub88 - 11.02.2010
Hi everyone i have a question.
Are they any mods that works with PF Standalone ?
For example such as cockpit repaints ( i.e P40 ).
I understand that the MOST works with the Ił 1946 , but is there any possibility to work with PF?
This sound a bit like a noob question but i saw many fantastic mods and other stuff and i would like to now if they work. 8)
Thanks in advance

Thanks for you fast reply ...
I asked because i have create MODS folder in PF main folder and i putted in some cockpit repaints for the aircraft that is present in game.
I think that P40 cockpit repaint works but other such as Seafires and Hurricanes Mk II b no...
I would like to now where it is the file that makes the aircrat visible from drawn-box list in View Objects and their text files.
Some of my airplanes ar not from this version of game ( german and russian aircrafts :?: ) and i want to delete them from te list from aircraft to viev..
I made a little mess and i want to clean it

yeah its a
little more complicated than just creating a MODS folder and dropping files into it. you need to download other various things to make IL2 accept mods. and those things require at least a 4.08m version of IL2 1946. most stuff now requires 4.09m. it shouldn't work with the standalone pacific fighters...especially if you are just creating a folder, naming it mods, and putting files into it.
Step 1: get IL2 1946 (should be v4.07m)
Step 2: patch to 4.08m and then 4.09m
Step 3: Download and install your choice of mod pack (HSFX, UP, or AAA UI)
it's worth it...
i highly doubt you'll get anything to work with PF

Thanks
i wanted just to be sure
.
But you didn't answered my question about Viev Objects.
Now i have plenty non-flyable , non-vievable  aircrafts , is any chance to delete them from the aircraft list of both Allies and Axis?
Mayby stupid but this irritates me
From this point i will stop experimenting with mod in PF - thats a pity but exists other things like DCG , or skins .
I will think about to get IŁ1946.
P.S Everywere people are writing to create Mods folder and putting there the mods so i was thinking wrong  .

Hello p.jakub88,
I know that you have been with us a few weeks, but I welcome you, anyway.
What do you want to do? Will you ever be flying online? If you will be flying online, then I recommend that you get HSFX 4.1 and any following patch to be compatible with online players. If you want to fly online, then I recommend that you join a squadron and use whatever they use. There is a squadron list in the Announcements Forum and the HSFX is covered in it's own Forum.
Offline guys really can get any mod pack that they want. The HSFX 4.1 might be a good start, however, there are a bunch of mod packs out there. How far into collecting mods will you be? There is the UltraPack 2.0 Also, you may wish to consider getting a MegaPack.
Another suggestion is to make a copy of absolutely everything that you feel must be kept.
We want to help, here at AAA. Always feel free to ask.
