x-4 help - Mac Tíre - 12.02.2010

does anybody know how to work them because when the ai use them they seem to turn towards the enemy planes and hit them every time and no misses.

In the readme.txt it explanes how you have to program keys to control them.. I programed them to a hat on my joystick

I didn't learn about the X-4 until I was watching a show on Military Channel about German Luftwaffe fighters.
So kinda like the TOW, which I'll have to get used to doing that.

Actually since you have to manually steer the missile to the target, it is more like a Sagger missile then a TOW missile. A TOW just requires that you just keep the target in your reticule and it will steer itself into the target. A Sagger is steered to its target via a joystick, much like the X-4.

IIRC they are guided by the bombsight hot keys - distance = up/down, drift = L/R

Well that target is not going to stay in your recticule unless you steer it.. and the users uses a joystick like device to do it.
