I can not understand why I have not seen this movie before...
I'm watching Kelly's Heros, a 1971 movie about a troop of COLORFUL american soldiers in europe that try to steal stolen German gold.

It's a very good 1960s comedic look at WWII. Eastwood is cool as ever. Telly Savalas looks like he could've been a real bad a$$. Great supporting cast.

I also think the Original M*A*S*H movie is on Par with this one, and another Amazing movie!

Kellys Heros is a classic,and take note the sound track used for the movie,the music Oddball plays into battle was all made long after WWII.
So this movie wasn't made for historical accuracy it was made to entertain and that it does.
Carroll O'Connor is at his best in this flick....not far from his character in "All in the Family".

I liked MASH. Kelly's Heros was okay, but when some of the musical sequences get going I head for the kitchen. The music dates the movie too much for me, but the rest of it is cool.

Like Traid I think M*A*S*H is just a bit better then Kelly's Heros, but there both amazing films that will all-ways entertain you no matter how many times you watch them
Is there any other films like M*A*S*H or Kelly's Heros? Only one I can think of is a recent one Tropic Thunder but I didn't find it that funny! Edit; just remembered Good Morning Vietnam :lol:
