Help me (bought from direct2drive) - gaz - 23.02.2010

Hello i have joined the fantastic game that is IL2 1946!

However when i download mods another topic said
i had to copy and paste this ubi patch thing into FILES

I am a noob and i don't know where to paste this as its whats restricting me playing with mods


Also I have seen a kind of airport in some members sigs and the video for the the XIV spitfire on youtube how can i get this!

The patch comes as a RAR file ,you will need a small program called 7zip to open it.Once open you will need to copy and paste the contents of it into your main game folder located in the Ubisoft folder in your program files.I would install the [PATCH] FOR UBI.COM / DIRECT2DRIVE PREPATCHED 4.08 patch before you do anything else.

Ok thank you but the only folder containing files has nothing in it is this the right one
(it appeared after I downloaded the spitfire XIV)
If not where is it because is the main game folder the one that says
MAPS SUPPORT DIRECTX ect

and can you give a url for this 7zip please
