How do you add the planes & maps from v4.09 to Campaign? - HusarDerLuft - 25.02.2010

I went into the Dgen folder and opened the planes_ru file of Finnland to add the Fokker XXI to the list of other planes, but it wont work..
The plane appears on the list to choose your plane for the single mission campaign but you cannot select it. Whats wrong here?


How do I go about adding these new aircraft to the single player dynamic campaigns,... as well as the new maps like Slovakia (to the Slovak campaign), Bassarabia for the German, Romanian or Russian campaign.
(The developers should not just have released these new planes and maps like that, but should have made the historically correct changes to the game's campaign by adding them.

Anybody can help here?

do a search for a mod. There is one out that updates all stock campaigns with mod planes. I know there is one included in UP 2.0, but it needs to be enabled via JSGME. I am sure it can be downloaded seperately though ...

There was another gentleman who had added them to the stock campaigns.

I myself am adding them to DCG, but this is a BIG process ... however, I am assuming you are using and referring to stock DGen ...

I do have UP 2.0 installed!!! just never bothered to enable anything via JSGME.
Which one is it? you remember what it was?

Whats DCG? whats that 'big process'... I can probably do it manually.. i only need to add a couple of planes.. maybe like 10-15
and how about MAPS ?? Adding the new maps to Campaign ?

you already have it active ... it is the first line in your menu ... so I don't know what is going on, unless you are talking about planes that were not added in UP 2.0 or HSFX ...

but why does it say HSFX in brackets.. I have nothing to do with HSFX now that I have UP installed

minutes before posting 1st message I added the Fokker to the list in the campaign and it appeared there in the campaign menu as selectable.. but when you select it and hit 'generate' nothing happens. all the normal planes work.. just no this one.

(and I selected a plane made by the development team.. an official plane, not one that came from here.. that was unofficially released.. so.. )
maybe I can fix it,.. if not ill wait till version 4.10 and we'll see then

sorry, I really don't know because I use DCG ...

If you are interested in giving it a try I would recommend you go HERE

The first page or two should be all you need about setting up DCG and explaining all of the parameters ... There is a couple of extra files that allow mod planes to be active in the campaigns via DCG, but we will cross that bridge if you even decide to go DCG.
