HSFX - does it have the Channel map? - mungee - 27.02.2010
I was sure that it did!
I've installed HSFX 4.0 and then 4.1 upgrade - but I don't see the Channel map.
Shouldn't I see it in Quick Mission Builder's maps if it was there?
Would appreciate any guidance on this.
Thanks.

Mungee, look in Full Mission Builder for the full list of maps that comes with HSFX. You'll need to add the map to your list for QMB for it to show up. Check the read me in your game's "HSFX V4 Tools and Readmes" folder for instructions on how to do that.

The low resolution of some of the Channel Map airfields is such a shame (They were all very nice in 1.2). I have asked about this on more than one Forum and also sent a PM to Canon.
They all look so good from the air and then when you get near the ground, they are "washed out". Bases like Tangmere and Biggin suffer.
If anyone kinows how to fix this they would be popular chaps. :?:
The issue of bumps in the Hawkinge runway has been fixed for UP 2.0 with a map upgrade patch in the pipeline.

Sorry chaps ... I need some help.
Firstly where is the folder that shows me what maps I have in FMB?
Secondly, am I correct in saying that I "activate" the Channel maps in QMB by adding the following lines (and heading!) at the enf of my config file?
[quick]
Custom0=1940_1941_Channel
Custom1=1942_1945_Channel
Custom2=W_1940_1941_Channel
Custom3=W_1942_1945_Channel

About the lowrez airfields of Canonuk's Channel maps: I've seen a few times a fix for that with screenshots of before and after installing the high resolution version. Looks far much better.
This fix must be somewhere in the Map Mods or Map Mods Discussion section.

I think the plan is to include higher res airfield textures in the next full version of HSFX (ver. 4.2). It will also include 4 seasons for each map, making a total of 8 Channel maps.
