Clocking - colocam - 27.02.2010

Hi guys! Big Grin

A few months ago I got a superclocked 9800GT. I'm wondering if increasing the core clock using EVGA precision would be a bad idea with a 500W PSU. The hottest I've seen it get after some really intensive gaming is 71 degrees.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

You need to get some REALLY GOOD additional cooling if you're going to overclock that card.
71deg C is pretty warm, but not critical. As far as the PSU, I'd at least use a 650w, but it all depends on your other components.

This little web utility will help guide you. What ever it recommends, go up to the next higher PSU.
ie. If it recommends a 500w, go with a 550w. That will allow for slack and upgrade potential.
