Engine: underheated??? - Revi 01 - 27.02.2010
Engine : underheated comes up on display, shortly afterwards my engine dies and I cannot play mission.
I have not had this until patching to UP2. What do I do?

This is from the enhanced engine effects mod which makes it so your engine will underheat if you takeoff too fast, so in order to stop it, you have to let your engine warm up on the ground or disable it.

Ok thats good, what do you do to warm it up? Just sit idling, do you have to close radiator or cowl flaps?

Just turn the engine on, go back to the tent to have a tea, then when you're done, come back to the plane and take off.

Roger Wilco, bye the way...might I also have time to 'spend a penny' as tea really does get me going you know?

Watch your oil temp gauge. When it reaches 50-60%, you are good to go. One issue I have with this mod is that I think in most cases the plane's crew would have the plane already warmed up for the pilot, so that he would only need to do a final magneto check and "run up" the engine before takeoff.
