Manual install of maps - liamp51 - 28.02.2010

Hi all,


I was trying to install some new maps today and have some questions. All new maps come with the _Tex folder or _tex folder. Well, I already have one _tex folder in the maps folder. When I try to put another _tex folder in the maps folder, it will try to overwrite the other _tex folder. So in short, I can only have one manual installed map.


How can I install more maps without overwriting the old _tex folder?

The _Tex folder is a common folder for new ground textures used in some modded maps.
Any new map installs may write to the _Tex folder but will not delete any existing files in it.

---- but to be on the safe side always make backups.

I never extract mods directly into the game folder.
I always extract to a temporary folder on desktop and then copy and paste from there into the game folder.
That ways its easier to see where any possible overwriting of files may occur.
