I had downloaded 4.09 for my il2 I deleted my mods folder and then I went to install but my PC froze. My OS is vista though :evil: anyone have a solution PLZ help!!!!!! Thanks anyway... Coolo129

I hope you mean 4.09m??
As for deleteing you mod folder.You need a CLEAN install for 4.09m
NOTHING left behind in your game folder.
Disk 4.07m---> 4.08m patch---> now install the 4.09m Patch.

If you want to move from 409b1m to the last patch 409m and you don't want to install neither XSFX4.1 nor UP2.0 you can set a custom install and you don't need to delete your mods:
I installed the 409m patch and all my previous mods are working perfectly with XP (but I think that the procedure must work also with Vista).

If you have a backup of your modded install restore it and follow the istruction available here:

you will need the SAS Modactivator v2.1 for 4.09b or 4.08 games ALREADY MODDED from SAS:

If you have not a backup you must start from a clean install as Skyomish said. Maybe you must perform a registry clean before re-installing IL2. A good utility to do that is CCleaner.
