Ground Attacks - csteimel47591 - 17.03.2010

Hey all,
Is there anyway to change the way the different Aircraft types behave? Enemy fighters will turn towards you to fight but bombers will flea... I want to have fighter/bomber aircraft to attack ground targets and then proceed to the next waypoint reguardless of other aircraft in the area.... Currently, the enemy fighter/bombers will attack the target and then turn toward me (if I'm in the area)... I want the enemy fighter/bombers to just "ground-attack" and flea like the bombers do...

Any way to do this?
Thanks,

CS

Jabos-bombes.rar

I'm not sure about compatibility with Certified AI mod v3

Set a ground attack waypoint after the first one, preferably on the way back to base. The fighter bombers will retain their attack formation and fly to the next waypoint, ignoring enemy planes.

If you set a second attack waypoint, will the fighter/bombers then actually attack that second waypoint with ordnance?

Or will they simply fly in formation to that waypoint without releasing anything? I am not even certain that aircraft can retain part of their bomb-load for a second attack. If so, that would be an interesting feature.

They will attack the first waypoint until their targets are destroyed. If there are no targets at the second waypoint they will fly on to the next one, so just set it somewhere with no enemies around.

They will attack at the second waypoint if there are enemies and if they have ordnance, like rockets or guns. It is possible to make AI a/c release bombs more slowly but it requires classfile editing. I'm working on something like this for an upcoming release.
