FMB tricks - csteimel47591 - 18.03.2010

Hey all,
I was wonder if anyone knew of any FMB tricks to help make map making a little easier.... Just until awhile ago, I didn't know you could cyle the "Objects" using pgup/pgdn keys. Are there any other tricks that make creating fences easier?

Thanks,
CS

Press the F1 key to move objects very small amounts & the F2 key to put it back to normal.

Hold down the F5 key & Right mouse button, then move mouse sideways to rotate objects very slowly.

The above methods only work in the 3D view.

Quick map zoom - Hold down the shift key & left mouse click & drag on map to create a dotted box, when mouse is released. you will zoom into the area contained by the box.
Quick 3D zoom - In 3D view hold left mouse button & move mouse forward or backward to zoom in - out.

Concerning holding down the F4 key and moving the mouse to get object to go up or down, does one need to place the cursor over the object until the four-way arrow appears? Also which key of the mouse do you need to hold down as you move the object? I've tried this and seem to have difficulty getting the objects to elevate. Can you explain further the method you use to get the objects to elevate and how do you place them where you want them once they do go up?
