Hey all.
Here's what happened. I installed SAS's new '1GB .exe for better operation' mod, and backed up my original .exe. I opened the game, it loaded, and opened the main menu. The background image was missing, and the mouse can't move. Damn.
So then I find one of the things that is strange in my config file is that usesound has been turned off. I turn it on, and get the same thing. Turn it back on, and the game runs just fine, only without any sound. So now, my game has no sound whatsoever, and when I go to turn it back on, the next time I load the game I get the menu error.
Any ideas?

It seems like half the time I load the game The mouse wont move, but if i minimize then maximize, it works fine.

Sometimes pause&unpause fix the no sound problem in my game, I am not using 1GB but when I start recording it loses sound.
