Plane ru & weapons ru cannot access - DoktorWho - 09.04.2010
Hello friends,
I'm patched to 1.2 AAA nothing else. I was trying to load the excellent Tainan-Kosho Mod Pack. All OK till with "air.ini" but when I tried STD/i8n the two files "plane.ru" and weapons ru" are called PROPERTIES files. And when I click on them widows says "windows cannot open file" so these two are no longer assessable to add the required mod info. I've searched the web an some suggest its a Java extension problem, but I have Java and still no joy. I'm locked out of plane. & weapons ru properties.
Am appealing for help. Thank you. DW

Hallo Herr Doktor,
Try to open the plane.ru and weapons.ru through notepad. What I do is this: I go to AllPrograms/Accessories/Notepad and open the Notepad program. From there, you can navigate to those two files. Make sure that when you reach the appropriate folder through notepad, you enable "show all files" in notepad pull-down menu, otherwise the properties files won't show. I hope I haven't confused you too much and that this is helpful.

besides what bohr-r said, the entries in those two files are purely for cosmetic purposes. you don't NEED to make any entries in them, the planes will work with the air.ini entry alone... :wink:

same problem can not open with notepad the pane ru.
tried to install t-6 texan got to 60% and crashes alo ive got my air.ini. in the right spots
