Text Size and Sound Problem - djpadre - 11.04.2010

Before I installed HSFX everything was ok with my game.

Now, there are 2 problems I have.

Firstly, all the text in the game is tiny - the game loading screen, the main menu, all the drop down menus, the chat bar online, the online rating page ... its all the same.

The other thing is the game sounds. When my aircraft is less than 500m off the ground i hear so much "background noise" (if thats the right thing to call it) that i can hardly hear my engines or sound from immediately around me.

I've tried using the search function to find a solution but nothing matches what i type in so hopefully someone can help ......

Hi

I think the problem of text will solve installing Ecran Wide mod and for the sound.... do you have configure it like readme says in conf.ini?

I've not messed around with any settings for display or audio since i used UI 1.1,
the current sound settings are completely default from fresh installation up to hsfx 4.1 with no extra mods.

I'll look into that Ecran Wide mod so thanks for that, i'll give it a go.

More Problems Found - djpadre - 17.04.2010

Ok I've been trying to figure out what's going wrong and where, without much sucess as i've now found more problems.

The small text size issue i've now found is being caused by the SOF/SOF full mod profile being turned on in JSGME.
The only trouble is, when i turn this mod profile off, either with only HSFX History mod or SOF/SOV basic mods, the game now CTD's at 60%.

I really dont know what is causing it, but suspect it may have something to do with Ranwers' Lancaster mod, as when I tried to activate this as well as HSFX History mod and the SOF/SOV mod i got a warning about a file conflict, so only activate the Lancaster mod when SOF/SOV mod is deactivated.

I've not had a problem with HSFX since installing it, only since i installed the Lancaster mod, and i'm hoping i dont have to reinstall everything from scratch which would be a pain in the bum.

I dont like to mess with the game folders, as i'm not that clever when it comes to this sort of thing, but i followed all the install instructions from the modders properly before installing the SOF/SOV and Lancaster mods.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
