Any chanche 4 a mod to solve AC wobbies definitely? - Goblin - 13.04.2010
As you all know during firing most planes (
except P40, me 109, Fw190 and may be few other..) start a nasty "wobbie" dancing left&right as (for old "Oleg" original intention..
to reproduce the "recoil" or de-syncronized effect..with machineguns. Now in the old era of the UbiZoo forum this was widely debated to push Oleg team to solve this because hystory report rarely tell about the presence of this secondary effect during firing, at least not so pronounced as it is in game still now: especially for some plane the bug-wobby behaviour is highly evident eg: p39 firing with nose cannon, all F4U, all P51's, all spitfires etc.etc... Now I'm wonder if with the develop of mod area for AC/FM of planes (=Button code) may go to also to solve definitely this important last big original Oleg team bug.

A little suffering is good for the soul.
I think we'll all live.

It's really not a problem or a bug. The P-39 cannon is a huge 40mm so you are bound to suffer recoil and wobbles.
Lots of people like to point out the P-51 wobbles, but to be quite honest, I fly this all the time, and I don't notice any issues with wobbling. Call me crazy, but I think it's one of the best fighters in this sim. Only the FW-190 D-9 is comparable.
I can't speak for the Corsair since I rarely fly it. I prefer the Hellcat, and I don't notice wobbles in it either, though I hear about it all the time.
However there is adverse yaw if you change pitch up and down too vigorously, due to prop effect and gyroscopic forces. In this case I would advise to be gentle on the controls. Not all planes like to be thrown around like the Yak.

Have you ever fired a gun? rifle?

Wobbie effect bug is present ingame and it is a BUG definitely as finally stated jet many years ago from all simmers so anyone don't dig with polemics under real fact pls and this bug has noting to do with game setting or player's skill.
this post is intended not to criticize the fact "to be or not to be" (not to re-walk old forum debate) but only to find a mod-solution about so, who don't notice this problem (doubtly if you are a expert FB-simmer) or is fine with game as it is now then please keep clear this thread for constructive answer/reply with may be solution or proposal about to solve the problem, thank you

I think the problem would be that you need a PATCH, not a MOD to fix this. Otherwise, you have an unfair advantage.

It's possible...but,that means changing stock weapons and fm's...and a lot of other issues that would come up with these changes...

Could be possible to start with extra stock modded planes.. wishing that in a possible future mod-community finally realized that also stock planes aren't "untouchable" there is no reason to keep evident bad FM only in "Honour" of mr. Oleg IMHO.
hock:

Ok, watch where you are going with this now.. If you want to go messing with fm's etc, this is not the place for that kind of discussion.
Real world test pilots and IL-2 are in agreement - Fireskull - 14.04.2010

Yes, indeed.
In World War Two, an areoplane with minimal reaction to recoil and tendency to recover quickly from wobbling was labelled " a good gun platform". All single engine fighters experienced at least some wobblies, depending on many factors, including the speed of the aircraft.
There was a genius British test pilot immediately after World War Two who headed a team to test and compare all available Axis aircraft to Allied planes - sorry, the name slips from me at the moment. This took several years of tests under controlled conditions. He concluded that both Axis and Allied aircraft had wide variances in the stability and recoverability after destabilizing actions, such as firing all guns. Some myths were dispelled about some aircraft which were labelled as duds and others that were crowned super-planes. It became evident that having a stable gun platform was more important to the average pilot than other major characteristics. In the hands of a very skilled pilot, the wobblies issue becomes secondary.
Some examples are:
The P-51
could wobble severely in some circumstances, however if the pilot maintained great speed as he should, the fighter would recover quickly or have very little instability. The same is true of the P-39 and many other fighters.
The Spitfire was one of the most stable fighters in combat of any of them. The Bf-109 and A6M series called Zeros also are famous as great gun platforms. Amazingly, though it looked unstable, the He-162 jet-after some redesign-was a great handling, stable gun platform.
The British test team concluded that all fighters could become unstable under certain conditions such as speed too slow, but some aeroplanes were remarkably better than others. In my humble opinion, IL-2 is modelled about right, as far as wobblies is concerned. It comes about as close as possible for a simulation.
