I need to help on what I need to have to add airplanes and sounds. I need to know what I need to download
them. Where do I put the folders and how to make them work after they are placed in the right folder. Pretty much
I need step by step help for the whole download thing, from the begining to end. Please help me on this, I'm new to
this type of thing and never done a addon for IL 2 1946 before. I would like to download the F-86 and the rest of the
jets. Please tell me what I need to do, if anyone can help me I would be very grateful.

Hi, and welcome to All Aircraft Arcade
First, we need to know what version of IL-2 that you have and/or what mod pack are we discussing. I personally recommend that you get the HSFX 4.11 which has instructions in the HSFX Forum. Managing mods is easy with it.

What Fireskull means by what version you have is did you download the game or did you buy the disk and are you sure it's 1946?

I have downloaded it and it is IL-2 1946.

I think this is the first thing you need (The link is inoperative) Then if you haven't done it yet get patch 4.08 then 4.09m then either SAS mod activator or UP2.0 or HSX your choice.I can tell you that the SAS mod activator will be the smaller download of the three choices,if you want to get right into adding mods.

I have changed it to 4.09 what should I download now?

When I download the Mod Acticator v 5.2 and when I go to start the game it shuts down on 5%. What can I do
to fix this. I really don't know what I need to get the F-86 or F-84 to work. Please give me more information.
