Face API, PPJoy, and IL2 6DOF - akodonnell - 20.04.2010

Has anyone here at AAA ever gotten Face API (a face tracking software that uses webcams) to work successfully with IL2? There's a video of someone doing it on youtube, but his instructions are bad. I got Face API to work in game, but it can't use it simultaneously with my joystick. Otherwise, I'm going to have to build a Freetrack device and be lit up like a Christmas tree while playing, which I want to avoid. Any thoughts?

Do ti your self or spend $500 on a track IR...uh I think I'll go with the DIY.

Yeah, I'm not looking to spend a bunch of cash on something I can do for $20. But above all, I'd rather not have a bunch or crap clipped to my head while I'm playing, so that's why I want to get Face API to work. Anyone know anything about this? If I can get this to work, then that means that 6DOF should be available to everyone (with a webcam) on this site for free, which would be awesome.
