Daidalos Team Update for Apr 22, 2010 - Fafnir_6 - 22.04.2010
Hello all,
I didn't see any posts here about this, so I'll share. The newest DT update is out, featuring the Do217K-1/Do217K-2 AI bomber/missile carrier and Z.1007 AI bomber. Go here for screenshots (and older updates): http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=12568 The bombers look awesome and both are much needed additions to the stock game. Update 4.10 is going to rule.

The Do 217, didn't see that one coming, but I am thrilled!!! Another german bomber to kill me with the defensive guns in my spitty! And a 1007!!!!! I am literally drooling over this patch, and just can't wait. It's keeping me up at night, dreaming of circling torpedoes and Ju88 torpedo bombers.

Indeed he was. Although the Wagner piece was inspired by the Volsunga Saga. I understand he was a greedy bastard (as I am with altitude
) so it seemed appropriate. Conincidentally, Fafnir was also the name assigned to the BMW/Bramo 323 Fafnir airplane engine which powered the Do17P/Z, Ar196, Fw200, Do24, and others. 5500 were built before the line shut down in 1944. Fafnir's greediness comes into play here too because apparently the 323 was a bit of a gas guzzler. Cheers,
