A simple but useful map request!!!!!!! -
walter_solito - 24.04.2010
Hi mates!
I have a request for a really simply map that can be used for:
- Carrier vs Carrier engagements;
- ASW;
- Bismark hunt;
This should only have some hundereds of kilometers of empty sea without land!
Yes I know that we can use any sea map but I think that this can be useful for rapid loading time , lowest memory use that allow great objects usage , test flight , possibility to set action with a great boudariers distance and so on!
There is someone intersted?
cheers
walter

Here you go, miles and miles of nothing but open sea. Not a land texture anywhere in sight. Never was a map easier to make ... not even a flag on the horizon ... ha ha.
Note that there is a rudimentary airfield and several objects way down in the lower left hand corner. Without these the map won't save and fly, so just ignore them. Also, since the load.ini contains no textures to be used in map, there is also no texture directory needed.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't find so kind words to thank you as you need to be!!!
I'm really grateful for this map you have released so quickly!
I was just ready to see my request deserted and I see it born!!!!
Yes I was in error about the empty sea because I have forgot that at least an airfield and some objects need to be placed on the map to work correctly!!!
I hope to manage to give my little contribute to finish a really ineresting project of new ship started from other ship master maker!
I'll give this map the honour to see the Philippine Sea battle mission as finished!!!!
In the meantime , thanks again for your really kind help!!!
Hope to see it even 'on the other site'
cheers

What is wrong with existing Coral Sea map? Too small?

Dear Kapteeni , even if I'm active on other internet sites , in my post I'm thinking about a part of the request I made for this map and the other site is in the Atlantic Ocean for Bismark Hunt or Convoy Patrol!
Dear 8FS_Bulau , like writed in my request , even if the Coral Sea is a great map , I asked for an 'only sea' to have a big map without land to have 360

Coral sea does allow other than carrier planes in FMB.
-
walter_solito - 24.04.2010
Yes only in FMB and not in QMB!
And I'm afraid to admit that I believe this useful at least for me!
If someone don't like it don't download and use it!
I believe the critics must be done for creative purpose , otherwise are steril because don't allow discussion!
Thanks again to Agracier to have realized so kindly my silly request!!
cheers

Can you post some screenshots of this map?

Are you kidding? ... it's just water and nothing but water in the game and the FMB map is just a uniform blue color ... ha ha.
