Would it be possible to make a mod that would restrict the pilot bailout to a certain altitude.. say hypothetically 100ft or higher.. or make is so that is a pilot accidentally bails out while on the ground he can get back in his plane if done within a certain timeframe?

Actually, a bail out Mod was something I too was thinking of, but hopefully it could be set up as a first-person view, so that once bailed the POV shows you leaving the aircraft and tumbling away in First person view. Now that would be amazing!

Why would you restrict a bailout at 100ft? Its not impossible.. Obviously you wouldn't survive, but restricting it is unrealistic.

I think it would be better if a Mod make possible to do all steps of bailng out manually by a player, e.g.:

1. to open/drop the canopy
2. to bail out
3. to open the parashute.

Yeah i think we should have a manual bailout mod like r4xm is sugesting but also an accidental bailout mod would be good, imagine the scene.... you're on the runway ready for take off and you accidently bailout, how i don't know, ejector seat maybe....land back on the ground run to your plane and climb back in while the whole airfield fall about laughing.... man that would keep me entertained for hours!

If you are having issues with accidental bail outs I suggest you change your key binding to a two key combination [SHF, ALT, CTRL + some other key]. That way you have to be "really confused" to accidentally bail out.

Would it be possible if you have been hit in the canopy (everybody knows the excellent mods with Bullet holes which are making the canopy damaged), it cannot open any more ???

I would find it very realistic and interesting, and I think everybody has read Histories of veterans describing an other pilot prisonner of his own mortal machine because of the damaged canopy...

probably all possible given that over a certain airspeed it won't let you bail out...

I would find it extremely realistic, to randomize the conditions of a good bail out or not... It would be each time a surprise, and would make the game a little bit more stressful when you have been hit.

So you all the specialists of this fabulous game, what are your opinions about it ??? Would it be possible ??? I hope yes...
