Can't reinstall Il-2 1946 from box... - mavyalex - 26.04.2010

Hi,

I need to reinstall Il-2 1946 from the box but I can't because I don't have the option "Install " when I launch the setup.

Is is because I already have 2 separate installation of Il-2 ont he same drive C:?

I have Il-2 with UP 2.0n in C:\ and Il-2 with HSFX 4.1.1 in C:\Program Files\Ubisoft.

I renamed the last directory as "Il-2 1946 HSFX 411"...

Before I used to copy paste my vanilla installation to get another copy, but I deleted thuis plain vanille Il-2 1946 version by installing HSFX and UP 2.0n!

So how can I do it? How can I delete HSFX 4.1.1 by the way?? I know how to uninstall UP 2.0n (I guess) but not HSFX 4.1.1...

PLEASE NOTE THAT I CANT SEE AAA PICTURES AND ICONS ANYMORE USIN FIREFOX but it works with IE. Why is that???It has been like this for weeks now and I updated Firefiox and reinstalled.

Just delete the 2 installations by moving them to the recycle bin. That's how I always do it.

change the name of your game files . then reinstall new game . rename all Ubisoft.

files . Big Grin

or delete them then run disc . Big Grin

I renamed to something else and still doesn't work...I wonder if its possible to go back to 4.09 plain from HSFX 411 or UP 2.0n rather...Otherwise I'll have to erase on of them...Might be the registry key the trouble on XP...

do you wish to keep old games ? if yes just rename them from ubisoft run disc uninstall then reinstall

Run the uninstaller, it does not remove files, just the registry entry which you don't need to run the game. I did it, it worked, I'm happy with it.

Sometimes I need to run 'a.exe' instead of 'setup.exe.' Try it, it usually works for me.
