Skinning - Aurora - 28.04.2010
I want to make a few skins but don't know how. Wich progam should I use?

Either photoshop or gimp.
gimp is free and does a lot of the same thing.

I've been using Corel's Photo-Paint for ages (part of the Graphics Suite).
It's cheaper than PS and easier than gimp, IMO. Let's say with passable results:

Take a look here for tutorials and DL a template or 2 to see how it all works.

Would highly recommend "Bright" , a program for putting your resulting skins back in 256 bit bmp fror Il2.

Paint Shop Pro can do it all. I use an old version, 7.0 and it is more than adequate for the job. And far cheaper than Photoshop ...
Gimp [FREE] -

GIMP all the way..
Its FREE user friendly and great results BUT whatever software you get
you will be a little overwhelmed at first by all the tools, applications and layers etc.
hock:
But read the tutorials at simmerspaintshop
http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/ and watch tutorials on YouTube
and will get the hang of it and to be honest you wont even scratch the surface when using tools
[well I dont anyway]
Examples of my work with GIMP
Skins available from http://mission4today.com/index.php?name ... ads2&c=143
Good Luck
Keith
P.S did I mention its FREE  FREE 8)
