Hi,

What is this Bender's Ultimate Envirement? What is this mod?

- P/O W. 'Moggy' Cattermole - 06.05.2010

Its a mod that adds impressive new clouds and eenvironmental graphics for IL2. Only thing is, we recieved comms from a company who made paid for additions to FSX (i think it was that sim). The gist of it was that bender was using material from their work, without credit or asking permission, and also circulating their work which usually one would have to pay for over the internet for free. That is why bender is not welcome here; as we have said, we do not tolerate plagarism.

The strange thing is that the Mediafire link to Benders Ultimate Environment is still available here at AAA including the necessary password to make it work.
I still use this cloud mod as it looks outstanding when flying in Good Weather or Hazy Weather. But when flying through Poor Weather or Rain/Thunder I notice some semi-transparant squared textures in the far distance.

Looks nice, doesn't it?

To me it looks like someone took some planes from a game and added them to a photo, but that's just my opinion. It's a great tool, and some of the textures are nice, but some of them just don't suit the Il-2 environment. Wink

I don't like either. It's a horrible combination.

Good day, everybody

The clouds look fantastic and real as if photographic images were somehow converted to the IL-2 graphics engine.

I agree that they are too real looking for IL-2, in general.

However, with Perfect Water and these realistic clouds during sea based battles, this could find a place in my sim.

What was the name of the creating company? I might buy the environment pack for the fun of it.

I think it's called 'real-air environment' or something like that. Wink

But it won't work for Il-2 mate Tongue

Thank you, Lejo.

This game needs a beefed up lighting engine.
