Ship Requests Wish List - LEOjunk - 17.05.2010

Hi all.

Its getting to the stage where there should be a specific topic for requesting ships, just like we have for allied/ axis historical/ fictional aircraft .
I probably don't have the authority to set this up, perhaps someone else could.
A huge thanks and well done to those working on HMS Warspite!!

In the mean time I'd like to request a few European theatre work-horses that would enrich D-day, Med and possibly Northern Russian senarios.

Yes. These are all needed.

The Town class cruiser would be extremely useful having served in all theatres and even later off Korea.
HMS Renown, along with HMS Sheffield and Illustrious standing in for Ark Royal will make a passable Force H, but there is a lot of work involved in modelling large ships so it may take a while to happen.

HMS Renown: Profile Morskie 34; Hipper Class: Profile Morskie 50; Town Class (HMS Belfast), Profile Morskie 10; Scharnhorst ? Deutschland Class, AJ Press-EoW 7, 8

Also Kriegsmarine K Class Light Cruiser, Profile Morskie 8; and Leipzig Class Light Cruiser, Profile Morskie 58; to complete the big ship line up.

Current Project Status:

HMS Eskimo - Tribal Class Destroyer -- Beta Version Completed (other versions may be released) viewtopic.php?p=272329#272329
HMS Warspite BB - In progress (LOD0 model in game) viewtopic.php?p=318645#318645
HMS Scylla - Dido Class Light Cruiser -- Hull and Superstructure well advanced. viewtopic.php?p=259865#259865
HMS Eagle CV - Started
HMS Ark Royal CV - Started
HMS Nelson BB - Started

A model being started should not be taken as an indication that it will be completed.

More german ships would be good. Personally I would like the Bismarck and some Ar 196's to go with it. Most of all I would probably like a proper Zepplin Aircaft carrier.

Just read the story and it seemed to be a very powerful ship.

More ships thanks - baronbutcher - 18.05.2010

That's a strange Yamato - (Yomoto?) should be three gun barrels per turret! :???:
Agree - love to see more ships especially in the Pacific as it was a huge Theatre for Naval battles. 8)
It's such a big project though - ships. hopefully we will see more. Cheers Smile

Ive started to learn to use Blender. Its free and seems ok. Not sure how to add in a background picture to base the work on but still learning.
There's a link here

Lots of free ship profiles here.

None in plan or front/back view though.

For a decent model you need detailed plans.

Examples of Profile Publications which I have acquired are:

Profile Morskie
AJ Press EoW (Encyclopedia of Warships)
Editioni Bizzari - Orizzonte Mare

Any other suggestions?

I have models of HMS Scylla and HMS Naiad part built. (Dido Class Cruisers)
